Background
This alpha is a submission to the Game Dev Field Guide monthly game jam. I started the project in the summer of 2024, but took a long break from it after a couple of months because it was lacking a clear purpose. When the game jam started I had some inspiration for new ideas to this project, which is why I decided to make an alpha during the one-month long jam.
The game has had a complete change of direction after I took it up again during the jam, and a lot of additions in terms of mechanics, art and music. However, much of the backend for the world generation, building system, inventory and animal AI was salvageable. This means that a lot of the time-consuming systems have been created outside of the time-frame of this jam.
After the jam I will continue to develop the project. Therefore, any feedback is extremely appreciated!
Comments
The SFX don't work perfectly in the web version, so download the .exe-file for the best audio experience. Apart from that the web version is identical!

I really enjoyed this one. As a fan of don't starve it definitely brought me back to that place. I like the crafting system. It's cool that you can use any material to craft each part of your tools. It really added a lot of depth to an otherwise simple system.
It took me a few plays to really figure out what was happening and how to play. Could benefit from a more in depth run thru of the mechanics. Especially as you add more to it.
I have a feeling I'll be coming back to play this one again. Genuinely very cool and I hope you keep developing it further.
Thanks, I will definitely keep developing! Yes, finding out what is going on seems to be the recurring theme! First priority is to straighten that out:)
